Know Key Tips for Controlling High Cholesterol

Nutritionist, Alibek Issaev, explains that 70-80% of all the cholesterol we need, is produced by our body, and that only the rest of that percentage comes from food.

That is why some people who lead a very healthy life still do have high rates of this substance and need professional follow up.

However, many people manage to control cholesterol just by making changes in their lifestyle. But what is the “high cholesterol” that everyone talks about?

Check out the step by step tips with Alibek Issaev to rid your body of this evil:

Reduce saturated fat from the menu

All foods that have saturated fat possess cholesterol, and should be consumed in the proper proportions for a healthy diet.

The diet should contain at most 300 mg of cholesterol per day to maintain balanced levels.

Invest in phytosterols

Phytosterols are antioxidants found in nature in plant sources, but some items in the food industry are already enriched with this component.

The two substances compete with each other to be absorbed by the intestine, and the consequence is that less cholesterol will be absorbed by the body.

Consume more Omega 3

Omega 3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory, antithrombotic and anti-rheumatic properties, which act by reducing the concentration of blood lipids, favoring vasodilation.

The omega-3 is able to prevent the formation of fat plaques in the wall of the arteries and ensure the flexibility of blood vessels.

Balance the consumption of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids

Omega 6 is a polyunsaturated fatty acid that has specific functions in the body, such as in the healing aid, lowering of LDL cholesterol and even helps to increase the burning of body fat.

Practice exercises

Doing regular physical activity is the most effective way to increase body fat burning, reduce bad cholesterol (LDL) and raise good cholesterol (HDL).
